Two weeks without pepper

Seven thousand brand new copies of the Penguin "Pasta Bible"were destroyed before they reached the shops. The reason was that a recipe requiring "salt and freshly ground black pepper" came to print as "salt and freshly ground black people". The publisher is apologetic and embarrassed.
There is plenty of embarrassment here after purchasing a salt and pepper set. I'd been failing to get as much as a grain of black pepper on my scrambled egg. Two weeks later I discovered that the set wasn't prefilled with salt and pepper. See here:
